This movie is made for Cempaka Interhouse Movie Competition 2009. This competition is only open for students from secondary and primary level of the same school (Cempaka Schools). Each houses require to make a movie to represent their house. And this movie, is by Beruang house.

This year's movie title was "Silk". Students are require to make 3 movies of the same title but different genre, "Spine Tingler", "Tear-Jerker", and "Comedy".

Filmed completely with Canon EOS 5D Mark II. Used Sigma 50mm f1.4, Canon 17-40mm L f4.0.

Silk by ~HolyWiz There is nothing more exciting than to see student work with vision. Beruang House of Cempaka schools turns in a very promising student film with "Silk". While this is a student film, there are some very sophisticated touches... strong cinematography (Another DSLR DD!) and even better editing.... it is a perfect illustration of how much the edit defines the piece... doing a chiller without being hackneyed is difficult even for some experienced filmmakers... this is not a cheesy chill fest. The sequence with the flashing house lighting and temporal jumps is downright inspired... I also really like the intercut of the iPhone from an oblique angle and the shots of the two characters... nice build in action and well thought out. The wins far exceed the shortfalls. I found myself cheering for the students of Beruang House... well done everyone! And let's not forget the instructor(s)... you must be a wonderful teacher. ( Featured by `Zenfilm )
